Privacy Policy

eEducation Albert AB, org. No. 559020-9093, is concerned about your privacy. We are therefore careful when collecting information that can be linked to your person (so-called personal data). At the same time, we want to give you access to Albert, your digital maths teacher, and give you the opportunity to save your activities, so you can see what progress you are making.

What information do we collect?

When registering your user account, we ask for your telephone number or an email. We do not collect social security numbers or any sensitive personal information.
You have the option to upload an image to your profile, but it is completely optional. You do not need to upload any image at all, and if you choose to upload an image, you can choose whether it is an image that represents you or something else. However, you are responsible for the rights to the image you upload. You also have the opportunity to enter your name, completely voluntarily, in your alias so that we can give you a more customised user experience.
If you choose to create a user account via your Facebook profile, you give us the right to collect the above information from Facebook.
When you register your account, you provide your payment details or credit card information to our payment provider Stripe (Stripe, Inc.) Through our user interface. For this personal data, Stripe has a responsibility towards you as a user.
When you use our service, we save your interaction with Albert, including exercises that have been visited and solved. We do this to be able to save your current progress, adapt the content to the level of difficulty that suits you best and so that you can start the service in the same place where you ended your last session at a later time.

How do we use the personal data we collect?

We use telephone numbers or email addresses to create a user account so that you can log in and save your activities. We may also use information generated in the user profile in aggregate to improve our service. We also may contact you with offers that we think are interesting to you.
We use modern and encrypted information technology, and we have routines to ensure confidentiality.

How do we store the personal information we collect?

We store your personal data in various cloud services within and outside the EU/EEA area.
We strive to process personal data only within the EU or within the EEA area. In some cases, it happens that our own servers or those of our partners are located outside the EU or EEA area. In such cases, we initiate processes to enter into special personal data assistant agreements that are adapted to processing outside the EU or the EEA area.
Regardless of where your personal data is processed, we take measures to ensure that your personal data is not processed for purposes other than what has been agreed.

For how long do we save the personal data we collect?

We save your personal information for as long as you use Albert, your digital maths teacher, and two years after the subscription ends. We do this because we want to reach someone who has previously used our service with targeted offers. If required by law, we may be required to store certain information for a longer period of time, and we may also store information if required to fulfil our agreement with you (in these cases, our processing of your personal information is not based on consent, nor is it possible to withdraw consent).

Transfer of personal data

In cases where we transfer your personal data outside the EU/EEA area, we only do so under the EU standard agreement clauses or, in the case of the USA, to companies that are self-certified under the Privacy Shield.
